# Chrome Extensions

There are two Aigon Chrome extensions, each with a distinct purpose.

---

## Aigon Extension {#aigon}

A minimal extension for managing your AigonOne login status. No page permissions — it cannot read or access any website you visit. Useful if you want Aigon functionality in your browser without granting any site access.

### What it does

- Shows whether you are currently signed in to AigonOne
- Lets you sign in or sign out
- Nothing else

### Install

> Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store.

---

## Page Capture {#page-capture}

Saves any webpage to your AigonOne account with one click — including screenshots, selected text, and voice notes. Everything is auto-tagged and fully searchable.

### Install

1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing: [aigon page capture](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/aigon-page-capture/dpebomgfmopjjonmlnjdldimbpjmfjdo)
2. Click **Add to Chrome**
3. Confirm the permissions prompt

### Sign in

The extension uses your existing AigonOne session. Before capturing pages, make sure you are signed in at [a1.aigon.ai](https://a1.aigon.ai).

### Capture a page

1. Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
2. Optionally click **Add Screenshot** to include a screenshot of the visible area
3. Add a voice note (click the microphone) or type a note
4. Click **Send**

The capture appears in your AigonOne account immediately and is searchable by content.

### Permissions

| Permission | Why |
|-----------|-----|
| `activeTab` | Reads the URL and captures a screenshot of the active tab |
| `scripting` | Reads your text selection from the page |
| `https://a1.aigon.ai/*` | Posts the capture to your account |

The extension does not run in the background and does not read pages you have not explicitly captured.

### Voice notes

Voice notes are transcribed server-side by Aigon AI. Audio files are processed for transcription only and are not retained.
